Colorado State Forest Service: Programs for Homeowners & Landowners

A variety of programs for homeowners and landowners exist through the Colorado State Forest Service (CSFS) and other natural resource agencies to assist them in managing their property.

The CSFS is committed to helping homeowners and landowners promote healthy and sustainable forest conditions. One of the ways we do this is by emphasizing action on state, private and other non-federal lands, and providing technical and financial assistance to those that have demonstrated a commitment to effectively manage their property.

Pile Burning planned near Peaceful Valley, Rollinsville

BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 5, 2022) – Firefighters plan to burn slash piles from multiple fuels reduction and hazardous tree removal projects on the Boulder Ranger District starting tomorrow and continuing throughout the week as conditions allow. Burning of these piles could take place throughout the upcoming snowy, winter months.

NOTIFICATION OF UPCOMING DISCUSSION REGARDING PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE INSURANCE (FAMLI) ACT BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETING DECEMBER 6, 2022

Colorado voters passed Proposition 118 as the result of a statewide ballot initiative in November 2020 to create a state-run paid family and medical leave insurance program (FAMLI). This insurance program will be funded by employers and employees paying premiums into a state fund to pay out leave benefits for eligible individuals.  Premiums will begin to be collected January 1, 2023, with paid benefits to begin the following year on January 1, 2024.

Pursuant to the adoption of Resolution 22-47 by the Board of County Commissioners, a trial period testing out a standardized 4/10 (a 4-day work week; working 10-hour days) has been authorized starting the week of December 12,2022 and ending June 2, 2023.

NOTICE OF PROPOSED SUPPLEMENTARY APPROPRIATION


Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Gilpin will consider the following 2022 supplementary appropriations at their regularly scheduled meeting on November 15th, at 9:00 a.m. 
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Gilpin as follows: 
that the sum of $576,391 be supplemented as additional expenses to the Human Services Fund for; $533,500 from Food assistance revenue; $24,891 from Food Commodities /TEFAP revenue; $18,000 from Child Support Services-IGA Clear Creek revenue.
