Pursuant to Colorado Law, you are hereby notified that the 2022 Budget Hearing for the Gilpin County Public Trustee Office will be conducted on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 8:30a.m., at the Old Courthouse, 203 Eureka St, Central City, CO 80427. Effective August 10, 2021 at 12:00 p.m., Gilpin County will be rescinding the Stage 1 Fire Restrictions. All fire restrictions will be lifted at this date and time. Gilpin County is providing public notice of its finalist for the County Manager position, Ray Rears. Ray is originally from Jefferson County, a 5th generation Coloradoan, who graduated from Arvada West High School. He attended the University of Northern Colorado, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Geography with a minor in History. In 2021, he received his Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, with honors, as part of the Executive Program with the University of Colorado Denver.
Boulder, Colo., February 12, 2021 – U.S. Forest Service contractors are expected to begin work on February 17 on two forest health projects improving forest resiliency on the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in the following locations:
FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Oct. 20, 2020) – Due to unprecedented and historic fire conditions, the USDA Forest Service’s Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests is announcing a temporary closure of all National Forest land in Clear Creek, Jefferson, Gilpin, Boulder, and Larimer counties, effective at midnight tonight (closure begins at 00:01 Oct. 21). This decision will be re-evaluated daily as conditions change.
