The Colorado Peak website allows individuals and families to apply for public assistance in Colorado. It can be used to apply for the following programs:
- Food Assistance: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medical Assistance: HealthFirst Colorado’s Medicaid, CHP+, and Medicare Savings Programs
- Cash Assistance: Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Adult Financial, and Old Age Pension Health and Medical Care Program (OAP)
- Energy Assistance: Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)
- Child Care: Colorado Childcare Assistance Program (CCCAP)
If you are unable to complete an benefits application online at the Colorado Peak website, you can request a paper application in-person at the Gilpin County Human Services Office. You can also download and print an Colorado PEAK benefits application and return it to our office.
Current Human Services clients and potential applicants can also check their eligibility for food assistance, cash assistance, and medical assistance programs by accessing the Colorado Peak website. The Colorado Peak website also allows existing clients to check the status of their current benefits. For security reasons, clients must establish a user profile and must know their Case ID number in order to complete their profile. Once the profile is created, clients can log in and check the status of their benefits at their convenience.
