The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides assistance to qualifying low-income families. Families that have an combined income that does not exceed 225% of the federal poverty level may be eligible. CCCAP is paid directly to the child care provider and the co-pay is based upon household size and gross income. This program is for children under 13 years of age, but exceptions may be granted for special needs.
You can also apply for CCCAP on the Colorado Peak website. Alternatively, paper CCCAP application packets (yellow folders) are available 24/7 in the entryway of the Human Services and Public Health building, between the two front doors of the Gilpin County Justice Center, and the Gilpin County Food Pantry. Please reach out to our office if you would like an application emailed or mailed to you.
