A reminder that applications are due by August 20, 2024, to request funding for 2025.

The Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) approves annual budgets that may include funding for local nonprofit organizations and/or governmental entities that serve an important role in improving the quality of life for residents of Gilpin County.

Earlier this year, the BoCC approved a policy regarding the funding of outside organizations. Full eligibility criteria are included in the Funding of Outside Organizations Policy.

Some key criteria include that an organization:

  • must be a nonprofit or governmental entity
  • has been in operation for at least two years by December 31 of the year preceding the application deadline (may be waived)
  • offers programs/services to all Gilpin County residents who meet eligibility requirements and complies with statutes regarding protected classes
  • has a significant geographic interest in Gilpin County

Reporting will be required for those who receive funding.

If you have a nonprofit organization that would like to request funding for 2025, and you feel you meet the criteria, please complete the fillable application for county funds. You may also print out the application and complete it by hand.  Applications will be accepted from July 1 until August 20, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Please submit your application to the Finance Director, Joe Allaire, at jallaire@gilpincounty.org. Further submission details may be found on the application.
