Civic Academy application deadline March 29

DRCOG staff are now accepting applications for the spring Denver Regional Council of Governments Civic Academy until Friday, March 29. 

The spring 2024 academy will include discussions around climate pollution reduction, Colorado economic trends, housing solutions, connectivity and public transportation. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to develop an individual action plan for a project they'd like to implement in their community. 

Review the curriculum schedule below: 

  • April 11: Welcome - What is Regionalism? 
  • April 18: An Efficient and Predictable Development Pattern: Economic Forecast and Affordable Housing 
  • April 25: A Safe and Resilient Natural Environment: Climate Pollution Reduction 
  • May 2: A Connected Multimodal Region: Field Trip 
  • May 9: Healthy, Inclusive and Livable Communities: Community First Models and Policy Advocacy 
  • May 16: A Vibrant Regional Economy: Homelessness 
  • May 23: Individual action plan presentations 

Starting April 11, the seven-week in-person academy will meet every Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the DRCOG office. 

Those who may be interested in increasing their knowledge of regional issues and enhancing their leadership capacity are encouraged to apply
