Executive Director of Triad Bright Futures, Ms. Anton will lead a broad early childhood collaboration

The Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition and Triad Bright Futures Advisory Board are pleased to welcome Jennifer Anton, who will serve as the Executive Director of Triad Bright Futures. As the Local Coordinating Organization (LCO) for Clear Creek, Gilpin, and Jefferson counties, Triad Bright Futures is responsible for coordinating the implementation of Colorado’s new universal preschool program in our communities.

Ms. Anton brings over 25 years of experience as a mental health counselor, project manager, consultant, and facilitator with a passion for early childhood development, health equity and advocacy. She has raised two children in Jefferson County and is personally invested in a bright future for the Triad Counties.

As Executive Director, Ms. Anton will continue her support of young children and families in collaboration with a broad group of partners and community stakeholders. Ms. Anton is a familiar member of the Triad early childhood community, having worked for five years in support of the LAUNCH Together Jefferson County and Bright Futures initiatives.

The Bright Futures initiative began in 2019 with a strong public-private partnership of Jefferson County community leaders that came together to create the Bright Futures Roadmap, a blueprint for improving outcomes for families with children prenatal to age eight. In 2022, these partners re-committed to the Roadmap and the Triad Bright Futures project to serve as the early childhood LCO for Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin counties.

The role of LCOs is to support families and preschool providers to navigate preschool enrollment, as well as monitor and report on seat availability in local preschools. In the future, the Colorado Department of Early Childhood will support LCOs to broaden their focus to coordinate all the systems that touch the lives of families with young children in their area.

Ms. Anton will begin her work as Executive Director in early January 2023.
