Due to the economic impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus) the decision was made by the Gilpin County Public Library Board of Trustees to temporarily suspend a large portion of the library services.
With this decision, four employees will be placed on unpaid leave (furlough). These changes will go into effect on May 2, 2020 and are expected to last at least through July 10, 2020.
The following Library programs and services are canceled until further notice:
- All Public Meetings
- All Meeting Room Reservations
- All In-Person Programs
- Drop-in Computer Usage
- Notary Service
- Drop-in Faxing, Printing, & Copying
All online services such as downloadable eBooks and eAudio books will remain available to Library Card holders through the Digital Library section of the website www.gilpinlibrary.org.
