The playground replacement at Pete Gones Memorial Park in 2020 was made possible by Conservation Trust Funds and a grant through CPRA and GameTime, https://www.gametime.com/cpra. This playground is 100% ADA compliant and also fulfills the PlayOn! National Demonstration Site by PlayCore- https://www.playcore.com/research/youth-fitness.

Resilient Communities Grant

Because of COVID many of the plans for sponsorships were not possible due to closures. However, in 2021 the Parks & Recreation Department was awarded the Resilient Communities Grant by GOCO, https://www.goco.org/programs-projects/our-grant-programs. This grant made it possible to fund ballfield, fairground and trail supplies, irrigation repairs AND pour-in-place surfacing (PIP)! The PIP will make this playground more inclusive with easier accessibility.
