Gilpin County Human Services is calling on the community to come together to support local families and individuals who may be experiencing food insecurity during a temporary hold on SNAP (food assistance) benefits.
If you would like to contribute, there are several ways to help:
Make a Donation
You can donate directly through the Stripe app link or by bringing cash or checks to:

Open Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Food donations may also be dropped off at the Gilpin County Food Pantry, located at 101 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.
Most Needed Food Items
- Spaghetti sauce
- Canned tuna and chicken
- Mac and cheese
- Cereal
- Canned fruit (no peaches needed)
- Canned vegetables (no corn needed)
- Fresh produce and fresh/frozen meats (please deliver during pantry hours)
Food Pantry Hours
Mondays: 9:00–11:00 a.m.
Thursdays: 1:30–5:30 p.m.
Beginning November 3, the Food Pantry will expand its hours of operation to better serve the community — stay tuned for details.
Volunteer Opportunities
The Food Pantry is also seeking additional volunteers to assist with stocking, organizing, and helping distribute food to residents in need.
