As of today, Thursday, December 18th at 11:30am, the warming shelter remains open at 10595 Highway 119 at the Gilpin County School.

  • If power is out, be aware of impacts to wells and septic systems
  • Fill bathtubs with water for non-drinking needs
  • Keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed as much as possible
  • Unplug appliances to prevent damage from power surges
  • Do not use kerosene or liquid-fuel heating sources indoors
  • Keep extra batteries on hand
  • Plan alternative power sources for medical devices
  • Use your vehicle to charge phones for emergency use
  • Fill vehicles with gas
