Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties – The Gateway to the Rockies Opioid Council (GROC), the regional opioid response collaborative for Jefferson, Clear Creek, and Gilpin Counties, is now accepting applications for its Advisory Committee. Individuals with lived experience or subject matter expertise in substance use prevention, treatment, recovery, or harm reduction are encouraged to apply.

An informational meeting was held virtually on July 28th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to provide details about the Advisory Committee’s role, expectations, and the application process. The recording can be viewed on the GROC YouTube channel @Region10_GROC.

The GROC Advisory Committee will serve a vital role in ensuring that the voices of community members, service providers, and those directly impacted by the opioid crisis are centered in the decision-making process. Advisory Committee members will provide guidance and recommendations to GROC voting members on how opioid settlement funds can best support local needs and create lasting impact across the region.

“We’re looking for people who are passionate, knowledgeable, and ready to help shape meaningful solutions,” said Dr. Chelsea, Program Manager for the GROC. “Whether your experience comes from professional work or personal journey, your voice matters.”

Those interested in learning more or attending the information session are encouraged to contact Dr. Chelsea Shore-Miller or visit The Gateway to the Rockies Opioid Council website
