The Gilpin County Community Annex project is officially underway! A groundbreaking ceremony on September 3 marked an exciting milestone in the County’s efforts to expand and improve community services.
Construction crews are now hard at work preparing the site, and residents can watch the progress in real time through a new live construction camera.

Once completed, the Community Annex will become home to the new Gilpin County Food Pantry, replacing the current trailer facility, which has reached the end of its useful life. The building will also feature a community kitchen—available for use by residents and local businesses—and include office space to support County programs and services.
