Central City Creepy Crawl

Join us for our annual pentalogy of creepy tales from Gilpin County's past. Begin at 6:30 p.m. each night, with a new tour group departing every half hour until 8:30 p.m. Tickets $15.75 (includes mandatory Central City admission tax) in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets are on sale now.
Senior Field Trip to Nevadaville and Alice Ghost Town
Tuesday, October 21 starting at 10 a.m. from the Gilpin County Community Center
Join Gilpin County Senior Services for a relaxed senior field trip to Nevadaville and Alice Ghost Town on Tuesday, October 21! We’ll explore at an easy pace, take in the scenery, and learn a bit of Colorado’s past along the way. Snacks will be provided, and participants will purchase their own lunch in Idaho Springs. To reserve your spot, please call us at 303-515-4292 by Monday October 20.
LEGO Robotics, Grades 1-4

Students learn basic design skills through a hands-on approach with the familiarity and fun of LEGO building. Team will participate in a FIRST LEGO League Explore event. Registration Required, opens September 15 at 8 a.m.

Halloween at Monte Lobo

Monte Lobo, 131 Main Street, Central City
Monte Lobo and the Lady Eagles Basketball Team present Halloween at Monte Lobo. Join them for two nights of Halloween fun at Monte Lobo! They will have trick or treating stations, s'mores, and candy apples available for purchase and a costume contest on Saturday night! All proceeds go to the Lady Eagles High School Basketball Team.
Spooky Stroll
Friday, October 24, 2025 from 5 to 9 p.m.

- $5 school Carnival
- Food Trucks & More!
We are moving carnival games into the community center gym, turning the barn into the haunted barn, the trick or treat trail will be extended along the trail around the stock pens, Elementary providing the candy from their candy drive. We will sell wristbands for the carnival games and 90% of the money will be split between the GCS student represented groups.
We enjoy partnering with the school to put on a fun community event that raises money for school groups.

Black Hawk's HARD District
Trick or Treat on Black Hawk's Halloween Street. Free Family Fun! Costumes encouraged. This Halloween, Black Hawk's Gregory Street transforms into a spooktacular scene of monsters, ghouls, and good old-fashioned fun!
Parents Night Out
Friday, November 7 from 4 to 8:30 p.m.
Community Center, 250 Norton Dr., Black Hawk
This parents night out we will be celebrating Halloween a week late! Leave the kids with us for an evening full of spooky excitement! Spooky dinner (provided by the Community Center), creative crafts, fun activities, and swimming. It's the perfect night for your kiddos and a well-deserved break for you! What to bring: swimsuit and towel. Kids can wear costumes.
$25 per child (or $15 if they're already enrolled in Friday camp on November 7th). Register now.
